You’ll Always On My Mind.

Apr-27-2008 By ColourfulWorld

While cleaning up my hard disk, I found these photos.

Brownie was really a cute dog. He could look at you with his big eyes with the tongue dropping out all the time. He liked to play a lot. One little movement from me and he would be running all around the car porch with his mouth wide open. Sometimes he barked at me for nothing. In return I shot him with jets of water from the tap. When I talked to him, he would sit down and tilt his head listening attentively. Cute huh?

I had never expected him to depart just like that. It was a fateful evening, as usual, the gates were opened for him to roam freely in the neighbourhood. My mum told me that a speeding Pajero ran over him. A loud bang and the Pajero sped away, leaving him motionless on the road. There was no blood. Urine flowed uncontrollably. His eyes never closed.

These are the remaining memories of him, taken just before I head back to UTM for my final year first semester. I only learned about his passing many months later…

Dear Brownie, if you could hear me somewhere out there, thanks for being with me when I’m around. Forgive me for not being able to be with you during your last moments. I miss you very much. Really wish that you have landed at a better place. You’ll always on my mind.

I love dogs! And I have a silky terrier now. I love him~! But whenever the thought that he is already 3 years old and in rougly 6~7 years he will be gone crosses my mind. I can’t bear it. I don’t know how I will handle it then. But at this moment, i only know i love him…<3

  2. ColourfulWorld Said,

It’s good to know you truly care for him. At least right now you have time for him. Treasure the moments together and he will be remembered forever by you. =)

I have another dog (Ben) many years ago. He ran to my house on the 9th day of Chinese New Year. For almost 10 years he led his life like an adventurer, went out in the morning and came back in the evening. During his last moments, he spent less and less time at home, until one day, he left forever and never came back.

Can’t explain this. Maybe he didn’t want my family to be sad of his departure… =p
