Lab Work Done!
Print This Post
Finally, after almost 3 months of lab work facing hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and burning away almost RM12,000 worth of chemicals and equipments, my chemical analysis is finally completed. Today will be my finaly day in the lab! Hurray!!!
So what do I have with me currently?
- Soil pH values (before treatment, during treatment and after treatment). (chemical - 195 data)
- Municipal sewage sludge metal contents (Al, Pb, Cd, Cu, Fe, Mn & Zn). (chemical - 35 data)
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) rhizome weight (start & end of experiement). (physical - 216 data)
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) 11-week-growth measurements. (physical - 2,376 data)
- Misai Kucing (Orthosiphon aristatus) 11-week-growth measurements. (physical - 2,112 data)
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) metal contents - root level. (chemical - 144 data)
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) metal contents - rhizome level. (chemical - 144 data)
- Turmeric (Curcuma longa) metal contents - leaf level. (chemical - 144 data)
- Misai Kucing (Orthosiphon aristatus) metal contents - root level. (chemical - 144 data)
- Misai Kucing (Orthosiphon aristatus) metal contents - stem level. (chemical - 144 data)
- Misai Kucing (Orthosiphon aristatus) metal contents - leaf level. (chemical - 144 data)
LOL, I’m proud to announce that I have gathered almost 5,800 genuine data for my research. Now it’s time for further data processing using various inferential statistical methods.
I believe my hard work pays off. Time to say good bye to procrastination and I must complete my thesis by the mid of February 2009. Thesis is my top priority right now so I have to put aside blogging for the time being. Please bear with me OK? Oh ya, wish me luck in whatever I’m doing now! =)

Finally saw the add a comment!
Hhmm, I totally had no idea at all what are you talking about … I only know Chem name(H3PO4, HCL, NH3, NF3, IPA, Acetone, HF or BHF, PFI, PEK, etc etc) , not the analysis.. You can work as chem lab analyst in my company.. hehehehe …
yu:
Thanks and good luck to you too! =)

LOL, what’s wrong? You can see the comment section? Anything wrong with my page load?
Never mind, you are not in my field so it’s OK for you to not understand those terms. BTW, those are element symbols.
Al = Aluminium
Pb = Lead (Plumbum)
Cd = Cadmium
Cu = Copper (Cuprum)
Fe = Iron (Ferum)
Mn = Manganese
Zn = Zinc
Honestly I don’t think I’m qualified and capable of becoming a chemical analyst. It’s not my major and those are simple stuff. So can’t join your company… =p
BTW, if your company have plans to develop “green” fertiliser or sewage sludge management and recovery then maybe I can help out… =)
Take care and have a nice day!
It’s really great to the feeling when you did something and the result is good.. It is worth all the sacrifices and efforts..
Anyway, wish you luck!
