Wedding

Oct-23-2008 By ColourfulWorld

Attending a wedding is joyful and fun, but preparing for it is almost a nightmare. It’s even worse than rushing your 50 page report and 1 video presentation in just 5 hours. That is why I always respect the bride and bridegroom for their physical and mental strength.

Last week I went back to Penang to be one of the photographer of my youngest aunt (dad’s youngest sister) wedding. It’s tiring but it is worth to see everyone smiling and laughing all the time and you have the opportunity to mark and capture those genuine expressions.

There is only 1 sad thing though, I do not know any of the cultures and customs at all. Younger generations like me are so severed from traditions that we don’t even know their existence. Traditions are time and effort consuming, not practising them means increase in workload and efficiency but is it worth to achieve that much at the expense of “killing” the roots of our culture? Should we start to do our part in our own cultural preservation? I leave it to you to decide.

Well, let’s feel the warmth and happiness of the wedding through the following photos. I didn’t put all into the album, just a few good shots using my good old Nikon E5900 and my cousin’s new Samsung S760. Enjoy!

Frankly speaking, after the wedding, I really have the urge to get married. I really look forward to designing my own wedding. Though there are humongous responsibilities to bear but that is certainly not to be discussed today. Hehe… So who’s going to be in my future invitation list, maybe 10 years from now? =)
