It has been 2 weeks since I last visited my own page. How amazing. I never thought I could live without blogging. I apologize for not blog hopping also. People especially my fellow blogger friends, please forgive me for not hook up to the Net.

Some of you may ask: are you suffering from the blogger’s block? No of course, I have so many things to write about, just to name a few, crystals, recycling, energy conservation, nature conservation, my own research, bla bla bla.

Pelf mentioned many times that blogging is time consuming in her various posts. I can’t agree more, especially when I’m in my current situation. She has started blogging way earlier than I and that was the first advice I received after bumping into her blog, when I just started mine, not totally sure why or what or how blogging would be.

Bloggin was… a major part of my life until now. One word to describe: crazy. From being obsessive to being indifferent, from writing popular posts to writing boring posts, blogging has taught me many new and bazzare things, or at least expose me to a great world beyond physical reach, none which I could obtain if not for blogging. Women do suffer mood swing as a result of PMS, I say bloggers especially newbies suffer something more terrible, the Blogger’s Syndrome. I found these 2 posts (here and here) fatally accurate when describing my “early stage” symptoms.

Life is real, and reality is often cruel. So what’s my current situation? It’s fairly simple. After some minor procrascination + excessive blogging, I need to submit my thesis by the end of December 2008. Currently with 4000++ raw data (chemical analysis and physical observation) and 2000++ more to come for the next 4 weeks. In short, presently I have just completed at max 40% of my work. A lot to be done huh?

Anyway, I love challanges and my ultimate goal is to complete everything with exceptional quality in just 2 months time. Suicidal right? I think so… but one thing for sure. priority for blogging has dropped from 2 to 6. So the current priority list looks like below:

  1. Thesis
  2. Health
  3. Family
  4. Friends
  5. Games
  6. Blogging
And for your information, you can read all that is being written here because I just happened to solve one of my biggest hurdle (bugged me for 2 days) in my data analysis last night roughly at 3am. It was an unplanned one for I happened to react towards a cup of Teh Tarik taken at 10pm during supper with my juniors, forcing me to be completely active the whole night. The excitement carried me until 5am and today I woke up at 8am to do my laundry cleaning.
To compensate for those non-nutritional crap above, I would like to share with you my view on KFC and McD in Malaysia.
Have you ever noticed that McD is gaining popularity a lot more faster than KFC? In fact, KFC is losing its competitveness to McD. I have prepare a list of questions to digest. Once you have gone through the questions, you will either agree to my points / add your own points  / disagree to my points that McD is indeed doing better than KFC.
  1. When was the last time you went to McD?
  2. When was the last time you went to KFC?
  3. McD provides free Coke refill. What about KFC?
  4. You can see almost all McD operating at junctions, corner lots or single lots. What about KFC?
  5. Which 24-hour fast food restaurant got more customers? McD or KFC?
  6. There is McD FM. What about KFC?
  7. There is McD Drive-Thru. What about KFC?
  8. McD: i’m lovin’ it!  KFC: it’s finger lickin’ good! McD talks about you (me). KFC talks about the chickens. So which brand respects you more?
  9. KFC always boast it’s history in Malaysia through various advertising, but what does food satisfaction has to do with history? Do you have the urge to visit KFC after seeing the ad?
  10. McD has any ads other than “i’m lovin’ it!” campaign? Do you frequent McD because you see the ad? Or because you are addicted to it?
  11. Is McD holding more children birthday party than KFC?
  12. Is career at McD better / more glamorous than career at KFC?
  13. Is McD crew more hospitable than KFC crew? Do you have more interaction with McD crew or KFC crew?
By the way, do you know that KFC no longer stands of Kentucky Fried Chicken?
That’s all for the time being. If you do not have answers for the above questions, try observe the conditions of both brand for 1 or 2 weeks. I’m sure you’ll have a clear answer pretty soon. And if you are into your assignment for SWOT analysis, the above questions might serve as some minor guidelines for obtaining ur solutions. =p
Lastly, found this meaningful phrase from a cute intelligent lady friend of mine. Hope you like it.
“…不要這麼容易就想放棄  就像我說的; 追不到的夢想  換個夢不就得了…..讓自己快樂快樂這才叫做意義; 珍惜一切就算没有拥有…”
